Jacob Lozada is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico at Rio Piedras, with a B.A. Degree in Science and a ROTC Commission in the U.S. Army.
He also holds a M.A. degree in Health Administration from Baylor University and a Ph.D. in Education from Walden University. After his retirement from the US Army as a Colonel, he served as senior healthcare management consultant in the private sector and subsequently as Assistant Secretary at the Department of Veterans Affairs. He is a Member of the Advisory Group on Prevention, Health Promotion, and Integrative and Public Health; founding member and former President of UPRAA; former Member of the National Board of Directors of AARP; Member of the Board of Directors of the National Medical Music Group (a chorale and symphony orchestra dedicated to America’s Veterans); Member of the Lions Club in San Lorenzo, P.R.; and Member of the Budget Committee of Andrews Federal Credit Union.
